Question for you: When do you think the last time all of Michigan's football rivals lost on the same day, while Michigan enjoyed a victory?
Answer: It would have had to happened what maybe once a year? Once every two years? Nope, the crack research staff at Mgoblog and reader Jamiemac comes up with the answer: 10/2/2004: Michigan beat IU, MSU lost to Iowa, ND lost to Purdue, and OSU lost to Northwestern.
I knew this weekend felt pretty good for some reason! (BTW: If you just came back from a real life episode of "Lost" - Michigan beat ND, MSU lost to CMU and OSU lost to USC this weekend)
- David Moosman is out a couple of weeks with a dislocated shoulder which "popped out" during the game.
- Tate Forcier was named the Davey O'Brien Award Foundation's national Quarterback of the Week on Monday.
- The debate on The Big House's piped in music continues. We all know the Big House is louder but does Michigan need the music over the speakers? My vote is keep it, the players and the student section seem to enjoy it. I saw a number of Michigan players dancing during time outs. It's a great way to keep them relaxed and not thinking about how tired they are.
- If you didn't know, Eastern Michigan (this week's Michigan opponent) is coached by former Michigan DC Ron English who interviewed for the head coaching job at Michigan. We wish Ron all the luck in the world, just not this week.
- High School report: Pioneer played Saline this past weekend and won 38-17. Ricardo Miller had 3 catches for 48 yards and a touchdown. Saline's QB and soon to be MSU Spartan Joe Boisture got benched in the game.
