Michigan Thursday: Quick Recruiting Bites

  • Dillon Baxter told Mike Farrell that he is considering Oregon, Florida, and USC. He enjoyed his visit to Michigan but it seems the Wolverines are out of it. This was also in the LA Times: San Diego Mission Bay running back Dillon Baxter also seems excited about playing for Kiffin, his coach, Willie Matson, said.

  • ESPN is reporting that Ernest Thomas is planning on visiting Michigan this weekend. Ernest is a local S/LB prospect that just de-committed from UCLA and wants to stay closer to home. As far as I know, Ernest has not been offered by Michigan yet.

  • Weekend Visitor Rashad Knight is visiting A2 this weekend and Rutgers next. His final 3 are Michigan, Ole' Miss, and Rutgers. From the sounds of this article it seem Michigan has some ground to make up this weekend.

  • Denard "shoelaces" Robinson has joined the track team and will run the 60 meters against OSU. Denard along with football teammates Je'ron Stokes and Troy Woolfolk have all joined the team.

  • Brandon Graham is #23 on Mel Kiper's NFL Draft Board

  • Michigan may get a 2011 commitment this weekend from Detroit Cass Tech cornerback Delonte Hollowell:"I look at it like it's no point in waiting (to make a commitment) because what's the point?" Hollowell said. "I could always decommit. I think I'm going to make an early decision -- probably this month sometime. I got my (Michigan) offer Sept 1 and we've been talking about (committing to Michigan) ever since, so there's no point in waiting." I agree with you Delonte, let's get this thing over with!
