It's getting close and college football will open on Thursday. Don't forget about the Friday match-up between MSU and Boise State.
- Damon Webb will be one of Michigan's top priorities for the 2014 class. He plays for Cass Tech and has a ton of Wolverines in his ear like David Dawson and Jourdan Lewis. Damon scored two touchdowns at WR this past weekend against Brother Rice. His top schools are Michigan, LSU, MSU and OSU.

- Irish running back Cierre Wood and defensive end Justin Utupo will join suspended players Quarterback Tommy Rees and linebacker Carlo Calabrese on the bench for the Navy game in Ireland on Saturday. Wood and Utupo will also be suspended for two total games. Michigan plays ND in week 4. Former Michigan recruit CB Lo Wood blew out his Achilles tendon last week and is out for the season. ND is very thin in the defensive backfield (very similar to Michigan a few years ago) and is moving WR's to DB's.
- Roy Rountree is back practicing and will be ready to go on Saturday. Fitz status is still unclear. Fitz is listed as the #1 RB on the depth chart (which doesn't mean he will play). The decision has been but coaching staff hasn't said what it is yet.
- Will Hagerup won the starting punting job, lets hope his two game slump is over and he gets close to hitting the TV screen at the Jerry Dome.
- Look for true freshman Dennis Norfleet to return kicks. Strangely, S Josh Furman is also listed as a kick returner.
