On the eve of the start of the NCAA Tournament, Trey Burke has been named Sports Illustrated's National Player of the Year. Congratulations to Trey and hopefully he and his teammates can back that up with a long run in the tournament. It's sort of ironic that Trey's last college basketball games in Michigan will be in a NBA arena.
- Walk-on Tight end Chris Eddins has left the program.
- ESPN released what could be the new football divisions in the
NewNewer Big Ten:
Michigan
Michigan State
Ohio State
Penn State
Rutgers
Purdue or Indiana
I know PSU will be down for a few more years, but I think they will continue to play quality football. With that said, this is a difficult division but probably right from a geographic stand point. This also means that Michigan won't have a guaranteed match up with a West division opponent. Looks like we won't be seeing much of Wisconsin, Nebraska or the Little Brown Jug game.
- Hoke likes the first Spring "pads" practice: He called out Devin's maturity on learning how to be the starting QB at Michigan, Thomas Gordon playing both Free and Strong Safety and the early enrolled freshman learning how to be a college DB. Jack Miller and Graham Glasgow (walk-on) are spitting time at center.
- Penn State has suspended their Adidas contract for two months due to 2600 worker losing their jobs without severance in Indonesia.
