Michigan Tuesday: Updates Transfers from the BBall Team

There are plenty of rumors flying around on guys that might be transferring from John Beilein's program.  When you have this much success and your two big time freshman come back for a second year, guys are going to look for playing time and might graduate and look to play somewhere new.

The first shoe to drop comes from Matt Vogrich's twitter account:

Congrats to on hooping at Miami Ohio next year. Lock it in that's on the calendar next year. Lock in a few beers on the trip too

Back-up Center Blake McLimans  going to Miami next year.  Good Luck to Blake!

  • Speaking of Twitter:  Derrick Green tweeted he is running the 40 in 4.36, which is faster then Denard Robinson ran at the NFL combine.   I have to wonder if that time is correct, but if he is running anywhere in that area, Michigan is going to have a big back that can run away from guys.

  • Michigan Basketball will play at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn again next year.  Next years opponent will be Stanford.  If the score is tied at the end of regulation, each player will take the SAT to see who wins.

  • The Sporting News ranked college football coaches.  #1 is no surprise and #2 is Urban Meyer.  Here are the rest of the Big Ten coaches:
#8 Pat Fitzgerald
#13 Bill O'Brien
#23 Brady Hoke
#27 Mark Dantonio
#31 Bo Pelini
#47 Kirk Ferentz
#50 Gary Anderson
#56 Jerry Kill
#64 Kyle Flood
#75 Kevin Wilson
#78 Randy Edsall
#81 Darrell Hazell
#112 Tim Beckman

I don't have too much problem with the list.  I think Bill and Pat are ranked a little too high.  They are good coaches but they really haven't won anything to deserve those rankings.   Brady Hoke at least has a BCS win.    How about Kirk Ferentz?  His stock has really fallen the last 5 years or so.

A quiz for you:

#1 Which team does Gary Anderson coach?
#2 Who is Kyle Flood?
#81 Does Darrell Hazell ring a bell?

How many did you get right?  Answers below:

Answers: 1) head coach of Wisconsin, 2) head coach of Rutgers, 3) head coach of Purdue
