Michigan Tuesday: Michigan Still Recruiting Big Time Recruits

Jabrill Peppers has jumped on board and we all know about Mr. Hand but who are some of the other big time recruits Michigan has a shot at in the 2014 class?

  • Adoree' Jackson is a 5 star CB from California.  He has been tweeting Peppers on how they could lock down the Michigan secondary for years!   Jackson just released a top 10 of:  Florida, Florida State, Illinois, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, UCLA and USC.   Many believe U of M has some ground to gain here but Adoree' is originally from Illinois and might be looking to come back to the Mid West.

  • FL WR Artavis Scott is already a high school teammate of Michigan commit Mason Cole and future (2015) Michigan prospect WR George Campbell.   Artavis has been on campus already and is planning on making another visit to A2 this summer for the BBQ at the Big House.  Artavis just completed spring practice where they scrimmage another school.  He scored 4 touchdowns during the scrimmage.   The inside word on Artavis early was he wanted to stay down South and closer to home but know it seems Michigan might actually be an option for this highly regarded WR.

  • Michigan DE Malik McDowell keeps his recruiting process very quiet.   He doesn't really speak to too many "services" and his timeline is unknown.  He has visited Michigan a number of times but his recruitment is very hard to predict.  The latest rumor out of Detroit is, he might be considering transferring HS from Loyola to Southfield.  Michigan commit Lawrence Marshall plays at Southfield.

  • IL OL Jamarco Jones is down to 4 school and will make his decision on July 27.  His final 4 is: Michigan, Ohio State, ND and MSU.  He will visit all 4 school one last time before he makes his final decision known.  OSU right now is the presumed leader.   Michael Ferns is working JJ on Twitter.

  • The #1 DT in the nation to Rivals is Virginia DT Andrew Brown, who has a Michigan offer along with a ton of others.  If Michigan were to put together a class of Hand, McDowell, Mone, and Marshall.  He might be a guy that would be interested in joining that group of talented defensive lineman.  Brown would be a guy the Wolverines would take even if they really didn't have a spot for him.
