Michigan Tuesday: News and Notes

Basketball season is now officially over and so is Spring Practice.   News for the next few months will be mostly recruiting related.   So I will grab a few other sports headlines today.

  • It sounds like Joe Dumars is expected to resign in the next few weeks.   It's time for a change in Pistons management.

  • Coach Cal to California?  There are rumors that Calipari now might head to LA to coach the Lakers.   I think the only way he leaves UK is if the Lakers break the bank to bring him west.

  • Jason Avant signed with the Carolina Panthers.  Glad to see him still in the league.

  • It seems Woodson and Peppers had a quick discussion during the Spring Game on Saturday and Woodson gave his blessing for Jabrill to wear #2.

  • MSU commit Detroit King OT Kyonta Stallworth has been to Michigan for 2 practices the last 3 weeks or so.   He is a 4 star guy that committed early on to the Spartans.  He said he was just hanging out with some of his friends last weekend, but we will see if there is any interest from him becoming a Wolverine.

  • Kevin Dillman a QB that Michigan was looking at back in the Big Al days has committed to Nebraska.

  • LB Darrin Kirkland Jr. finally got his Michigan offer last week and is still keeping his announcement day in late May.  He is still wants to visit Ann Arbor one more time before his announces his choice.   Michigan continues to be in good shape with this 2015 LB.

  • More people watched the Michigan - Louisville NC game then the game last night.
