Michigan Thursday: Big Night For Taylor Lewan

Is Taylor Lewan Rich Rod's top recruit that played at Michigan?   I think many could argue Denard, but Denard really didn't have an NFL position and is still struggling to find one.   (I think there could be a joke in there somewhere about Taylor and Denard being the only two Rich Rod recruits that didn't transfer) Taylor tonight will go somewhere in the top 10 of the draft and will be Michigan's highest draft pick since Jake Long in 2008.  Brandon Graham was taken 13th in the 2010 draft.

Good luck to Taylor tonight and for his future NFL career.

  •  Local boy OL prospect David Moorman has committed to Wisconsin.  David had visited Ann Arbor a couple times but did not have an offer.  David did not have an offer from MSU either.

  • Many mock drafts have the Lions taking Darqueze Dennard the DB from MSU tonight.

  • West Virginia transfer Eron Harris finally got his release yesterday.   ESPN is reporting Coach B has already contacted him.  The flood gates then opened and Butler, Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan State, New Mexico, Notre Dame, Ohio State and UCLA all called him.   “We respected (West Virginia coach Bob Huggins') coaching style but it probably wasn't the best fit,” Eric Harris  (Eron's father) said. “Looking for that right fit as far as a coach goes is probably the biggest thing."----“The fit is more important that the location (of the school),” Harris said. “Eron is used to seeing his brothers and family more than he has the past couple years. But if he has to go to New York or California to find the right fit, then that's what he'll do.”
