Coach Speak Brady Hoke

Lowlights from his press conference

  • Would never put in a kid with a concussion
  • Shane has a high ankle sprain, does not have a concussion
  • He would never overrule a trainer or doctor if a kid can't play
  • Has not met with David Brandon in the last two days
  • David has not been involved in the PR related to the Shane Morris situation
  • The UM of Medical Staff will release a statement on the situation
  • He got into coaching to work with kids
  • He is preparing to play Rutgers
Irony at work: the banner behind the press conference is the Michigan Health System.

Brady looked like a guy that hasn't slept in days and he was clearly trying to protect his reputation today.

Either Brandon is asleep at the wheel or is working on something.   Your guess is better then mine.  I don't think he needs to go far to find the $3M or so it would take to buy out his contract.

Don't have to buy out his contract at this time. Just put him in the coaches box upstairs away from every thing where he can't be heard or seen. Have someone else run the team for the next seven games. They could not do any worse.

So Nuss is saying he never saw Morris get hit during a recent interview, but Brandy made a comment during the game the Nuss was telling Morris to stay down and wait for medical help.....WHAT'S HAPPENING???

coach talk/brady babble... that crap is getting old, but the Shane Morris situation is WAY beyond coach talk.

Count the media outlets voicing their disgust at the way he was not only left on the field after that hit, but then sent back out for another play!!!
We had timeouts in hand, it isn't like we needed to save them to manage the clock.... We could have used a timeout, since we weren't aware enough to have our #3 QB prepared to be the back up.

Brady's head should roll for that, instead the university issues a statment supporting him. TERRIBLE!

For what it's worth, there is something to be said for coaches that go through the process and pay their dues. Look at our basketball coach, he's gone up the ladder and he's won on every level and now he's an outstanding coach. Maybe you can't say that for every coach, some do well with less of a road to travel but my point is that some coaches have through time and effort learned how to coach.

With the Haubaugh's, they actually have a football pedigree and they've grown up around it and it was even in their milk as babes, but just because you've been a head coach for a few years and won at Chit-lin Switch State Hog breeders School of Barbering doesn't mean that you're ready to be a head coach on the world biggest stage.

The same thing goes for being an Athletic Director. Has Brandon ever had a clue about what it means to be an AD? Does knowing how to hock pizza make you a great AD candidate? Some AD's do well because everything is set up and running for them, and all they have to do is sign the paper work that everyone else has completed and put in front of them. However, this time, we need an AD with actual experience on their resume. I'm very concerned about this program.

So let me get this straight..Brady Hoke has now made us a lossing program but won't walk away....yet Gary Moeler who was a winner, MICHIGAN MAN, hand picked by BO,got drunk one nightand quit...please explain

Reports are starting to surface that Michigan is feeling the interests of BC's AD and UConn's AD.

For better, for worse... we live in a lynch mob society, fueled by everything under the sun going 'viral'. If we lose to Rutgers or Penn State (both mediocre teams) Brandon and Brady will be gone. Hopefully one of the AD's mentioned have an interest and a real ability to revive this mess of a program. I'm still holding out hope that John Harbaugh has one item left on his bucket list, after winning a super bowl, and it is in The Big House.

I'm soooooo sick of hearing about Harbaugh's and Les Miles. None of them are coming to Michigan. Get that through all of your heads. There's ZERO chance of that happening. People sound like a bunch of babbling idiots.....

Man, Big35Hurt, you are heavy handed. Aside from your poir delivery, I do happen to agree with the message behind all of it. I highly doubt a 58-60 year old Les Miles will leave LSU at this point to deal with a fixer like our broken program. If he does, because of some higher calling from the football Gods, I would be impressed. As for the Harbaughs, I will have to see it to believe it. I doubt those dudes will leave the NFL. But who knows. Just dont put too much emotional stock in that happening. At this juncture, the most important action item on the Regents and President's to-do list is to remove that arrogant piece of sh*t Dave Brandon. Send him on his way...

its an insecurity issue... everyone needs to get a clue, everyone is an idiot.

some people know everything. if we're lucky he'll grace us with the truth about when there will be changes made, and who will be the next AD and or HC... because clearly he 'has a clue' and knows exactly what will happen..... oy vey.

Other than the obvious Shane Morris incident, The MOST embarassing situation I saw all day was the fact OUR QB's couldn't find their freakin helmets when called upon to take DG's spot for ONE damn play.
....and I don't want to hear something about coaching either, for God's sake these kid's are in COLLEGE how about a little responsibility here. Morris would not have had to go back in period. STUPID

So Domino Dave releases a statement saying Shane was diagnosed with a concussion and there was a communication problem. WOW....

Maybe that's why 99% college football programs have their OC in a press box, with a birds eye view of the field, communicating with their HC via headset.

This circus needs to be put to bed... this continues to get more embarrassing as the days go by....

Scott K....well said. "This continues to get more embarrassing as the days go by" The more they spin this, the more screwed up it gets...
