Michigan Monday: Wolverine TidBits

With a expanded spring practice over the next month, the news will be slow coming out of Schembechler Hall.   Here are a few Michigan tidbits you might be interested in:

  • Tim Drevno will be calling plays

  • What does a Drevno line play like? “They’re going to come off the football. They’re going to know where to go. They’re going to have a want-to, a brotherhood. They’re going to take control in the room and lead us. They’re going to lead us, and that’s a really good question because there’s different ones I’ve been with. You just- they play with confidence, you know? That’s a very good question.”

  • Michigan 2016 QB Prospect KJ Costello is telling different services, different things about this recruitment.   He is either down to 3 schools which include Michigan, USC or Stanford.  There seemed to be pretty good momentum for KJ visiting Ann Arbor for a practice before a decision in the next month or so, but know that could be in question.   If he doesn't visit that pretty much guarantees a USC or Stanford decision.

  • Sounds like LaMar Woodley is going to be released by the Raiders today.  He played in 6 games last year before getting injured.

  • Mitch McGary had his best game as a pro this weekend, scoring 20 points for Durant-less Thunder.

  • Michigan has offered son of Minnesota's Vikings GM Rick Spielman, who of course is also the nephew of Chris.  JD Spielman is 5'9 and 173 pound athlete and currently not rated.   Michigan is his first offer.
