Michigan Tuesday: Five!

Every time I hear a recruit is down to 5 schools, I think of the famous wrestler King Kong Bundy and his famous 5 count!

Michigan Basketball recruit Jaylen Brown is reportedly down to his final 5 schools:  California, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan and North Carolina.   UCLA is one of the schools that was dropped and was considered a fair bet to land the #1 recruit in the nation, the other two were Georgia and Georgia Tech.   Many still believe this is a Michigan, CAL and UK battle to the end.

  • NC 4 Star RB Robert Washington announced his college decision on Saturday.  He was very high on the Wolverines until they took two RB's in the week after the Spring Game.   What was funny about Robert's announcement was he picked two schools.  He taped an interview with the Bleacher Report on the prior Thursday and announced he was going to Florida (which he never visited).  That video aired on Saturday.   The problem was when Robert announced his school live, he picked Syracuse.   He said that he changed his mind between Thursday and Saturday.

  • Doesn't sound like Michigan has made up any ground in four-star Detroit King WR Donnie Corley recruitment.  He said recently at a Rivals event that his top two are MSU and Tennessee and that he is interested in USC.   Michigan might have to prove to top WR's that this offense is truly WR friendly next season.  Good thing NSD is in February 2016.

  • Good article on Devin Gardner and his hopes on making a NFL squad.  My guess is someone will sign him as a free agent on Saturday after the draft.

  • Rashan Gary is now the #1 recruit for ESPN in the 2016 class.
