Michigan Friday: Talking Uniforms

Nike's Jumpman or commonly referred to as the "Jordan" brand made a surprising announcement yesterday on their twitter feed.

I see both sides on this.  I'm sure many traditional Michigan football fans are not going to be too crazy about the Jordan logo on the Wolverines football jerseys.  On the other side of this, Michigan will be the only Jordan brand football team and that should be a nice selling feature for recruits.
Isaac Nauta, an ESPN 300 tight end target, agrees with Craig-Myers and says it's something that he was excited about right away.

"I love the Jordan brand and I was super happy Michigan went with Nike," Nauta said. "Everyone loves to be decked out in the best and newest gear, so that definitely helps."

There has also been a rumor floating around that Michigan is going to wear White on White this year on the road.   It could be one game or all the road games.   I guess we will find out in a few weeks.

  • As I mentioned here yesterday, it sounds like Bryan Mone has broken his ankle during fall camp.  Michigan has yet to confirm the injury.

  • 2016 five-star tight end Isaac Nauta will officially visit Ann Arbor for the Michigan MSU on October 17th.

  • Finally some good news!  I have always wanted to see/hear this!  Noted Michigan fan Gus Johnson will be doing the Fox 1 Michigan at Utah game on 9/3.  It will be nice to have a positive Wolverine voice in the booth for a change.

  • Jake Ryan as expected is making a big splash at Packers camp and in his first pre-season game had 6 tackles and 1 sack.   He of course is wearing #47.
