Michigan Thursday: Some Wolverine NFL Updates

  • Chad Henne re-signs with the Jags.   No, he isn't an NFL star but he has had a nice career and hopefully has a nice nest egg for his retirement.

  • Michigan has 14 players going to the NFL Combine in Indy.  That is #1 for all schools.  Here are the players:
Ben Braden (OG)
Jake Butt (TE)
Taco Charlton (DE)
Jehu Chesson (WR)
Jeremy Clark (CB)
Amara Darboh (WR)
Ben Gedeon (LB)
Ryan Glasgow (DT)
Delano Hill (SS)
Jourdan Lewis (CB)
Jabrill Peppers (SS)
De'Veon Smith (RB)
Channing Stribling (CB)
Chris Wormley (DT)

Wolverines that didn't get an invite include:  Matt Godin, Kyle Kalis, Erik Magnusen, and Dymonte Thomas.

On a side note:  Chad Kelly who is related to Hall of Famer Jim Kelly got an invite and then the NFL resided it, due to off field issues.

  • Jalen Rose is going to do an ABC Pilot with the team that does "Fresh off the Boat".  Couldn't be prouder of Jalen who has made some great choices after his playing career.  I hope this Pilot does well.

So Bob is 2017 a rebuilding year, or reloading year? Maybe both, the entire defense (about) is needing replacement.
Possibly a new starter for QB? I see a shaky start, and a smooth humming machine at the end of season, opposite of 2016.
