Michigan Memorial Day Monday: Ryan Hayes Is Blue!

This holiday weekend, Jimmy and staff got a very big gift when 6'7 255 pound OT Ryan Hayes committed to the Wolverines.   That's right Bighouse Inmates!  He is 6'7 and only weighs 255 pounds.   Talk about a frame for Greg Frey and others to work with moving forward.  Ryan could even play a little TE at the next level as well.

This has been a very good instate week for the Wolverines.   On Tuesday they landed Jalen Mayfield from Grand Rapids and this weekend Ryan from Traverse City.  The Wolverines might have also cashed out on instate recruits for the 2018 class as well.  4 star OG McCall who committed to UK a couple weeks ago said, that everyone stopped calling, which mean he has some admission issues and 4 star Cass Tech corner (and former ND commit) Gervin doesn't seem to fit Michigan's system of larger corners.

Ryan loved A2 as soon as he stepped on campus. "It just felt right from my first visit and I just loved everything about it there," Hayes added.   He picked Michigan over ND and MSU.

Ryan is a 4 star to 24/7, Scouts, and ESPN.  Rivals has him as a 3 star.  247Sports ranks Hayes as the nation's No. 10 offensive tackle and No. 102 recruit overall. The industry-generated 247Sports Composite slots him at No. 17 and No. 205 respectively.  He also plans to sign his LOI in December to end his recruiting process officially.

Welcome Ryan and have a great Memorial Day everyone!
