Big Ten Preview Week 10

With OSU's comeback win over Penn State, they took over the top spot in the Big Ten again.   I still don't know how they won that game but they did and it might have been JT Barrett's best game in Columbus.

Big Ten Game of the Week:

OSU at Iowa:  Weird things happen at night/late afternoon in Kinnick Stadium.   Michigan was a top ranked team last year and playing well and got hit by the Iowa Voodoo.   Penn State who would probably be a 3-4 TD favorite on a neutral field, won the game on the last play this season.   Might be the pink locker rooms or something else.   OSU is a -18 favorite.   Iowa has not played well this year but love them and the points in this one.   OSU 28 Iowa 17

Northwestern at Nebraska:  Northwestern had a nice win over the vanilla Spartans last week.  Nebraska is 4-4 and on track for a new head coach next year.   Nebraska is -1 in this game.  I like Northwestern.  NW 18 Neb 10

Penn State at MSU:  This could have easily been the top Big Ten game of the week but both teams are coming off loses.  Penn State is still trying to make the playoffs and MSU still wants to believe they are better then they really are.   Penn State is -9 in this one.   Penn State 28 MSU 16

Illinois at Purdue:  How is Purdue is 3-5?  That looked like a pretty good team Michigan played early in the year.  Illinois is not good, Purdue -14.   Purdue 31 Illinois 13

Wisconsin at IU:  The badgers need to be careful here.   IU will keep this close for a quarter or two and then get beat in the second half.  Wisconsin -13.   Wisky 31 IU 21

Maryland at Rutgers:  Maryland beat Texas and now has the band director playing QB.  Rutgers got beat in Ann Arbor last week and played a decent game.   Maryland is favored -2.5.   I like Rutgers in this one.   Rutgers 17 Maryland 14.

  • VA WR Dillon Spalding announced his top 2 last night in WVU and Michigan.  Insiders are predicting WVU in this one.   There are questions, if he is a take for the Wolverines at this point in a small class.   Though Michigan's Director of Recruiting sent out the commit bat signal last night.   So who knows?

  • 2018 GA TE Tommy Tremble will visit for the Ohio State game.
