Michigan Friday: RB Help Wanted Sign

Next season Michigan is lacking a ton of depth at the Running Back position.   Michigan has recently taken some shots to that depth with O'Maury Samuels being thrown off the team for a domestic assault charge, which just yesterday was pleaded down.  Once that plea was completed Samuels announced he was planning to transfer.

Then the news this week that Chris Evans is suspended for academic issues.  Which leaves Christian Turner who was injured most of last year, former walk-on Tru Wilson, and true freshman (early enrollee) Zach Charbonnet.   That's it folks!

Outside of Tru Wilson, there is very little experience with that group.   So now what?

1. Michigan has some athletes in Hassan Haskins who started at LB last year is already back at RB and former HS QB Michael Barrett who has been running with the WR's.
2. There is a chance that Evans could be back on the Fall Roster if he gets his academic issues cleaned up.
3. Braylon Edwards brother Berkley could ask the NCAA for a 10th season of eligibility.  (joke warning!)
4. Maybe a graduate transfer
5. The 2020 class needs to be filled with many RB's

This is and defensive line is a big concern for next year.  

• ESPN and Charles Woodson have parted ways.  

• Nik Stauskas was traded again, this time to the Pacers.  That is 3 times in a week.  He is expected to be released.  

• You couldn't even make this up if you tried:  Pep Hamilton is expected to be the GM and Head Coach of the new DC franchise of the XFL.   Harbaugh to Vince McMahon. 

• After what looked like a season ending injury Caris Levert is expected back on the court tonight.
