Michigan Monday: Shea Gets Picked Up

I feel bad for Shea Patterson, prior to last season I was hoping for a Joe Burrow type of season for the Ole Miss transfer at Michigan.  Seems Joe and Shea played a round a golf  last summer and Joe won for the Heisman, NC, and 1st pick in the draft (and you thought Jordan played for high stakes?).     That of course is a joke, buts its hard not to draw parallels between the two players.

  • Both players were transfers
  • Both players had two years to play
  • Both had to beat a high profile divisional rival (Alabama-OSU)
  • Both guys had new OC's
One will start for the Bengals next season the other will be lucky to make the roster of the Super Bowl Champs.    Shea signed a UDFA contract with the KC Chiefs this past weekend.   They also recently signed Jordan Ta’amu from Ole Miss, who Shea competed against in college.

Last season, the Chiefs roster already had a former Michigan QB Chad Henne on it and former retired QB Matt Moore as back-ups.  They did draft Michigan DE Mike Danna in the 5th round and also just signed Taco Charlton.  So it seems to be a smart organization to win a Super Bowl and sign Wolverines.  :-)

Good Luck Shea!

  • JBB signed a free agent contract with Carolina, he was last seen in the XFL.

  • If your a Star Wars fan today is May the 4th - be with you.

Weak arm, fumbles the ball, cannot run a read option, short, weak, played for a moron, never won a big game... but he did go 9-3 and beat MSU and helped to sell many tickets... so all is good... right? My grand pappy would be disgusted if he were alive today to see what has happened to college football and how a guy like this is worth spending time on.... go back to his first MSU game... dude misses a read option that would have scored from 55 yards... plain as day.... right then I knew we had no chance.... in that game if he makes the right read... it is never in doubt and that halftime score is much different....these are the plays that the big boys make... put him next to Patty....honestly gentleman... what are we doing here? Why are sports like this? If he makes one completion in the NFL... the game sucks and is dead as we know it... It’s a pro league... it must have pro players... he had plenty of time and had a massive opportunity and he blew it... this is life... with Harbaugh as coach and C+ expectations

Fire Jim AND DUMP BROWN.....WHY ARE THEY BOTH HERE??

Coach Anderson said...

Michiganma, who would you like as head coach and Dc?

szanreno said...

I've asked this question many times, it never gets a good answer. Just more of his bs.
Time to time I've asked for constructive logical improvements across the board but it just leads to a bunch of Debbie Downers.
Someone a few posts back talked at length about improving the offensive line and that would improve our running game. I like that.

Head coach -Urban Meyer.... Dc- Greg Mattison....... Head Coach - Row the Boat...... Dc- Who ever his is... Head Coach- Mike Singletary.... Dc- Someone From NFL ..... Head Coach- Herm Edwards... Dc- Not Don brown....

szanreno said...

I rest my case.

Cmfgoblue said...

oh come on bro! Say something funny at least! You KNOW damn well Jim sucks.... your not dumb and you have an IQ above 80.... Mike Singletary would whip this place into shape....wait wait wait... he would make everyone cry that’s right... Herm is far and away a better man, player, and coach than Jim.... Urban makes Jim look like a pee wee kid with a helmet to big... Row the boat is doin a great job!

Cmfgoblue said...

Mike Tomiln, Lincoln Riley, Mike Gundy, Frank Reich, Guy from Vandy can’t think of his name.... Mike Leach, Chris Peterson, Tyrone Wheatley...(he also knows him sucks)

Cmfgoblue said...

Mack Brown would do better

szanreno said...

I rest my case again. Just throwing out names, no thought. If they did bring in Meyer I'd have more time on my hands and wouldn't mess with this. You guys can sell your soul, I'm not.

Kyle Whittingham

Cmfgoblue said...

Listen hear... you would watch every game... don’t lie.... you would love that shit... Johnny Damon was a yankee....Rodman was a piston.... Ruth was a Red Sox

szanreno said...

You got 3 of the 4 right.

Cmfgoblue said...

It’s just easy for you to say “I rest my case” and “I wouldn’t sell my soul”.... I like you bro... but I know you never miss a 11-1 12-0 season under any coach

Cmfgoblue said...

German scientist worked for the US after the war....oh yeah guess what!!! BO WAS A BUCKEYE!!!! what is the difference? Did he sell his fucking soul!!! FUCK NO GO BLUE !!!

szanreno said...

I believe I would. If in a few years the players start all this endorsement crap and collecting money from agents etc. I'm old school and I'm gone.

szanreno said...

Bo wasn't a lying douchebag. And just, just slightly before my time.

Cmfgoblue said...

Ah ha!!! My man now that’s different!!! I agree...

Throwing names out is pretty silly. Most of those names are already employed, make good money, and are at schools that can accept better athletes who can’t gain admission to Mich. There really are plenty of top tier schools now - both pay and prestige. We all believe (well, all but TitanMan, who’s a Bucknut troll) that Michigan truly is an exception and stands out among the others. But if you told Riley he could recruit kids who get admitted to Ok or Mich... he would stay in OK.

Cmfgoblue said...

Bo was many things trust me... read a book on him and you may understand your program a little better....it took a buckeye to make us champions... and it took us to show them an example of what greatness could be.... you cannot have Wolverines without Buckeyes and visa versa.... do you think the Osu fans are upset over mattison? Nawww dude....

szanreno said...

Someone once told me that when Meyer was at Utah he had an out in his contract, if Michigan came calling he could break it and go. Along with Notre Dame as well.

szanreno said...

I've probably read all of them, no lie.

Cmfgoblue said...

Throwing out names? How else can you explain who you think is better? Would you like me to include an action pack card with each coach? What is silly is buying tickets and thinking that Jim could win? I can write the names on a paper airplane and “fly” them in instead of “throwing” out names....

Cmfgoblue said...

I cannot believe you guys think we have a 100% clean program... Jim has had violations that were minor and lied to people as well

szanreno said...

If you would have thrown out names five years ago Harbaugh's would have been on it right? Now???

szanreno said...

What guys?

szanreno said...

Love to hear about the violations and lies...

Cmfgoblue said...

Ok I should have said... no one should think we have a 100% clean program... yes his name would have been on there... but his name would also have been removed after year 2

szanreno said...

So what's to say you know any better now if his name was on there then?

Cmfgoblue said...

Year 1 minor violation before he ever coached a game... something about a recruit at a game... will look up more...now the lies! Um... I human so I know he has lied... every coach has lied to a recruit... eveyone of them ..

szanreno said...

I give you the lying part. If I heard of any violations they couldn't have been much.

Cmfgoblue said...

He is 0-5 against Osu, his son is on the coaching staff, and that dumb look on his face after the 2015 MSU game

szanreno said...

I'm aware. What's your point?
Not a fan of Jay...

Cmfgoblue said...

That was my answer to your 9:01 post

Cmfgoblue said...

I would like to know what Jims excuse would be to Bo... Osu is a bunch of cheaters?

szanreno said...

There's nothing to say the next dude does any better.

Cmfgoblue said...

Compared to the hype... No way he can do worse... no coach has fallen farther from grace of the public eye for performance alone...

szanreno said...

That Bo Jim conversation would be one way. Hahaha.

Cmfgoblue said...

I said “would be” ... careful now laddie.... respect those who are not with us

Cmfgoblue said...

This has been a blast btw! GO BLUE!

szanreno said...

All respect. I said would be as well. I grew up with Bo on the sideline. First game in person Stanford 1973.

szanreno said...

Have a good night and better tomorrow. Go Blue!

Cmfgoblue said...

Then allow me to tip the cap to a man that has lived and died through many more days of that sideline than me....my first game was 2003! Haha wow! Illinois 56-14 October 18th I believe... my daddy grew up with BO... I’m sorry you had to see what has become of the Big House

Cmfgoblue said...

I was 17... I am not now

Cmfgoblue said...

You as well!

Goblu said...

You seeing first game in 2003 does explain some things - mainly you really don’t have any positive memories of a winning Blue. My first one was 1975, when I was 5. Seeing them in late 70s through mid 90s was a good time to watch Mich Football. Also gives perspective to know that it takes time to turn around a troubled program.

MichiganMan said...

I recommended all the coaches so many times. Lincoln Riley, Row the Goat....anyone who is up to date in modern football. Jim and his OLD DOG DUMP BROWN are not cutting it. You have to recycle coaches until you find the right one. I anyone of you running a company you would want the best employees. If certain ones are doing their job then, you would fire them. Why would you pay someone top salary and there is no production. IQ? Someone of you guys are below avg...

Cmfgoblue said...

I saw the 97 team.. they won a lot, 2006, I have many memories of winning... I remember the 1996 game when I was ten and was going out of my mind! 2003 was first game in person of course not first game...
