Wolverine Wednesday: Catches A Big Fish

Michigan landed a 3 star TE from GA in Marlin Klein which seems like a great name for a deep sea boat.   Marlin has only been in the States for about a year and already has scored offers from FSU, GA, Purdue, MSU and others.

"I made the call to Michigan on my birthday, last Thursday (September 18)," said Klein. "I called coach Moore to give him the news first, then I called the boss, coach Jim Harbaugh and talked to him about my commitment. I think they were a little surprised, but they knew I liked Michigan a lot.

"I had been thinking about committing since I visited Ann Arbor a couple of weeks ago. As soon as I stepped on campus, it felt like home, and that is when I started thinking about committing.

"I did not go up there thinking about doing this, but I know that I found my place. When I was up at Michigan, I felt like I was at home in Germany. The weather reminded me of home, and it just felt right. The campus was great, the people are nice, and Michigan is the whole package.

"Michigan was always high on my list, but I really had Purdue up there too. That visit changed things for me. I never thought about committing this early, but it just felt right, so I had no reason to wait.

"This commitment means a lot to me. I am from Germany, and now I get to go play football at Michigan, so this is like a dream coming true for me. I have been playing football for four years now and I know I have found my spot. I have the opportunity to play for a big and powerful program, so it feels great."

"I feel it is the right time to commit because my feelings about Michigan are so strong. I am the type of guy that does not plan to change my mind when I commit to something. That is how strong I feel about Michigan."

Marlin is 6'6 and a thin 215 pounds.  He will continue to develop his skills over the next two seasons before making it up to Ann Arbor.   Welcome Marlin!

As always, I appreciate your post Bob. Best blog out there for Michigan football.

I have not been commenting much lately because, frankly, many of the posts don't make any sense, repeat the same old story lines or ask rhetorical questions. I have found it better for my sanity to stop reading the comments.

Once school started again I was hoping Michigan Man would be too busy studying to have time to post...but alas, that didn't happen.

Have a fantastic day all. Enjoy fall and Go Blue!

Hey Tim! What can I say.... I’m a Deplorable

CMF, you're not a Deplorable (which I think you meant as a badge of honor, really). You're just tiresome, repetitive, and juvenile.

Three compliments in one day, was almost to much for me to handle.... from the bottom of my heart, thank you and Goblu! Remember the Titans? “Attitude reflects leadership” when times are good and things at the big house are under control than posts and proddings will change, until then.... I’m the guy that will throw the Spartan down the stairs if he needs it and if your to afraid too... Even for you Arch Maester szanreno, cheers to football and festive revelries, cheers to telling each other to fuck off and then fighting the enemy together, cheers to a solid victory over MSU and any other glorious renditions of how our fore fathers played the game, like true wolverines!! Hail Hail to supremacy that is The BIG HOUSE BlOG!! For all others seem weak and non transparent! Hail Hail and cheers to the mighty foes of Cmfgoblue! And Cheers to many days of long lasting friendships while we all continue this glorious reign of 3rd place under the grand creator of 3rd and long himself... “coach Harbaugh”

Sounds like a nice kid. Glad to see he was being recruited by Georgia.
What concerns me is our excitement for 3 star recruits.
I don't think Ohio State, Clemson, or 'Bama fans get excited about 3 star recruits

I'm guessing he turns in to a 4 star this year.

On the bright side, at least "MM" didn't post. He's like a one-trick clown.
