Michigan Thursday: Just Beat State

Its as simple as that.  Everything Michigan Basketball has in front of them starts tonight with a game against Michigan State.  It's Austin Davis last night at Crisler Arena (I know it's Center but I'm old school), chance to beat your instate rival, and win a Big Ten Championship.

It's also a great way to flush what happened on Tuesday.   Focus in, beat a rival, become a Champion.

I think the best way to highlight the commitment of instate 4 star WR Tay'shawn Trent is what EPSN's Athletics Sparty Beat Reporter Colton Pouncy said on twitter, "So Ron Bellamy is gonna be a problem for MSU's in-state recruiting".

That is a fact.  TT was all in on MSU before Coach Bellamy took his new job at Michigan.

Tay'shawn is a big WR that projects to either TE or WR at the next level.  His offer list included: MSU, PSU, Pitt, WVU, UK, Louisville, and IU.

Michigan has landed two instate players and 9 stars in just one week.  I like the way this is trending!

Yes, Please!

We are trending in the right direction, however we have a long ways to go to catch up to TTDS. They have 3 5stars committed! We need to get more top 50 players.

I totally agree, Ezmo. We certainly need more top 50 players.

TTDS had elite coaches in Tres and Meyer.

Can they have three elite coaches in a row? I am hoping Day is the next Larry Coker. Took over a stacked program and did well until his elite players he inherited ran out. Time will tell.

Tim it doesn’t look like the elite players are going anywhere anytime soon. Ryan Day and good staff are doing heck of a job recruiting top players. They are also developing players as well. We need to close that elite talent gap.
