Big Ten Preview Week 7

There are no bad Big Ten weekends when Michigan plays, even if its against a cupcake.  This weekend there is no Michigan, Ohio State, or Penn State.   This is officially a "stinker" weekend from the Big Ten.  The best game is a scouting game for Michigan fans as MSU travels to IU which are two teams still remaining on the schedule.

#10 MSU (-4.5) @ IU:   Everybody loved Indiana last season, they have a great coach and they're finally playing winning football.  Was the future bright or just a strange COVID year?  I think that question got answered this year with a 2-3 record.   MSU is clearly the better team and should win by a large margin but this is the Big Ten and the Spartans are on the road.  MSU 28 IU 21

Nebraska (-4) @ Minnesota:  Talk about two snake bitten programs.  Nebraska is the better team but something is going to happen to keep the Gophers in this game.   Nebraska 17 Minnesota 14

Rutgers (-2) @ Northwestern:  I have been shocked how bad Northwestern has been this year.  They played Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship game last season, right?   Don't watch this game.  Rutgers 13 Northwestern 0

Purdue @ # 2 Iowa (-11.5):  Iowa gets very lucky they didn't have to jump on the road and play a trap game, after the Penn State win.   I still think Iowa has a bit of a let down and Purdue covers.  Iowa 24 Purdue 14

Army @ Wisconsin (-14):  I have a firm rule for the Michigan AD, never schedule a service academy or App. State.  This is a very dangerous game for Wisconsin when the 4-1 Army comes into Madison.   Army 19 Wisconsin 20

That's it for Week 7!

  • Jett Howard made it official yesterday and will be a Wolverine
  • Cade took his entire offensive line to the Chop House last night.  Smart move QB!
  • Lincoln Riley has to choose between a possible NFL high draft pick QB and the backup who won the Texas game last weekend.   That is a between a rock and a hard place decision.
  • Penn State has some serious injuries:   DT P.J. Mustipher is out for the year and they won't disclose QB Clifford's injury.

It's a no brainer for Lincoln Riley: Spencer Rattler stinks! You choose the guy that gives you the best chance to win and thats the Caleb Williams! Rattler will be on TP watch as that's how college football rolls these days.

Cade should have included the running backs, wide outs (the entire offense), because they ALL carried him. IMHO!!!
