The answer is decisions are next.
- Coach Rod has to hire a staff. He is going to start on this today after WVU's destruction of Oklahoma last night. He also mentioned during the Citrus Bowl that he will look at some other coaches from other programs as well.
- Recruiting is next. Coach Rod and staff have to keep the current list of verbal commitments, add some more, and try to keep currnt players like Ryan Mallett from transferring.
- Michigan's top verbal commit. Sam McGuffie is staying a wolverine.
- Update: The Toledo Blade is reporting that Ryan is heading to UCLA.
- Sounds like Ryan maybe transferring. Lloyd has said, he has made a decision and just hasn't made it public yet. This is somewhat surprising to me that he could be the starter at top 15 ranked school next year vs transferring sitting out a year and starting out in a new system. I think Ryan could be successful in a spread similar to what we saw in the Citrus Bowl. McGuffie says that he and Ryan have been talking about being in the same backfield together.
- Mario and Adrian need to make a decision on the NFL. Before the Citrus, my guess was that Mario goes and Adrian stays. After the Citrus, I think they are both gone. Which is too bad for Michigan fans next year, that would mean our entire offense from this year is gone.
- WVU hires Stewart as head coach after his big win last night. Butch Jones loses his dream job but gets an extension from the Chips. Funny, how he decided to stay after Stewart got the WVU job. Will some coaches headed to Ann Arbor now stay in Morgantown?
- Bill Parcells decides to fire former Wolverine coach Cam Cameron from the Dolphins.
- Top recruits playing in All Star Games this weekend, need to make some decisions. Terrelle Pryor is the largest prize out there with his list reportedly down to Michigan, OSU, and Florida. ESPN says watch out for Oregon in a late run.
These decisions are difficult and career changing. How will they fall? Only time will tell. It does make for some great blogging though. So stay tuned!
