VDay News and Notes

Not much going on these days from a Michigan Football perspective. I thought I would give you some quick updates, so you can focus on your "sweetie" today and only think about Michigan football for only 21 hours today (instead of 24 of course).

  • Coach Rod on WDFN talking about a lot of stuff you already know. He does mention that Joe Tiller is a great coach but you have to keep recruiting to the final day.
  • Former Michigan WR coach Erik Campbell gets a job with Iowa.
  • A good article on the TP recruitment process.
  • If your wondering, Michigan has already gotten one verbal commit for 2009. It's a 5 star DL from Detroit named William Campbell. Per Varsity Blue: William Campbell 6-6, 300 Detroit, MI Cass Tech Surprisingly explosive for his girth. He was a big success at the Junior Army combine. He'll be one of the top 2-3 DTs in 2009. Michigan's first commit of the 2009 class, on 6-1-07.
  • John Beilein says first recruit class important. You think?
  • Forbes says that Michigan is the #1 Champion Factory in the nation with 68 professional athletes in the 4 major professional sports leagues. (OSU is #2 if you were wondering)
