What did we learn this weekend in Big Ten play?
- Minnesota yikes! At least they scored 17 points.
- Ohio State didn't do the Wolverines any favors. They were up big against Nebraska and let the Cornhuskers come back to get the victory. Your first response might be, "Bob, its never a bad thing when the Buckeyes lose!". Your are correct BHB readers! But, Nebraska is in our division and would of had two loses in the Big Ten if OSU had held on.
- Watching Iowa at Penn State was like watching paint dry. Yes, they both play good defense but neither team could move the ball all day.
- I'm still not buying Illinois yet. Ron Zook and crew struggled with IU for awhile before they pulled away. I think they have some young talent on offense but I'm not sure on the defense side of the ball. Beating OSU this week, will go a long way in changing my mind. After that game they go on the road to Purdue and Penn State before hosting the Wolverines.
Nebraska finally gets an off week as they travel to play Minnesota this week.
Michigan Mash Report
- Troy is still banged up but Blake Countess is playing well. I still question why they played Troy against Minnesota.
- Ricky Barnum is still questionable for Saturday.
- Arizona fired Mike Stoops on Monday, they are 1-5. Does Rich Rod's offense fit in the Pac 12 better then the Big Ten? I would think so.
- Al Davis last draft pick was Terrelle Pryor.
- Vegas has Michigan as a 3 point underdog on Saturday.
- TCU has now either been in or invited to 3 different leagues in the last year as they accepted an invite to Big 12. The Big East is now looking at the service academies to fill out their open spots. TCU beat SDSU late on Saturday 27-14. BTW: Brady Hoke's former school SDSU wants to be in the Big 12 as well.
- Is Saturday's Michigan vs Michigan State game a Legends Division Championship game?
