Big Ten Preview Week 14 - BIG Championship

The season is over with just the Championship Game left.  The big winners from last weekend were the Wolverines with a win over Ohio State and the Wisconsin Badgers with a win over Penn State and a ticket to the BIG Championship game.

Wisconsin vs Michigan State at Indy:  Michigan State beat Wisconsin at home this season on a hail mary pass to end the game.  After that game, MSU lost on the road to Nebraska and then beat up on the poor teams in the Big Ten.   Wisconsin after that lost took a trip to Columbus and found another hail mary waiting for them.   After that game they went on similar winning streak to overcome Penn State and get into this game.

The game will include two senior QB's and strong running games.   Michigan State which has sort of fallen out of the media exposure after their Nebraska loss still has a strong defense and a good passing game when Cousins doesn't get flustered and has time to find Cunningham.

Neither team has played well on the road this year and it's hard to know how playing in a neutral site will effect either team.  For some reason, this game has very little hype and you can buy tickets on Stub Hub for as little as $8.  Most experts agree that Wisconsin is the better team and would have been in the NC hunt if they didn't lose on two last minute throws.    The winner goes to the Rose Bowl to play Oregon.  The loser might fall to the Outback or Citrus Bowl.  Vegas continues not to buy MSU and makes Wisconsin a  -9 favorite in the game.   Being inside I see a few points scored.   Wisconsin 28 MSU 21

The nightmare for the Big Ten would be having a ton of empty seats for this game.
