Michigan Friday: Taylor To Tennessee

As you know, in somewhat of a surprise move the Tennessee Titans took Taylor Lewan with the 11th pick in the first round.   Tennessee seemed to be locked up at the tackle position with 9 year starter Micheal Roos and newly signed and former "Blindside" tackle from the Ravens Michael Oher.

"I know they have two established offensive tackles," said Lewan of the Titans. "My job is to bring competition ... and at the same time learn from these guys. I want to understand how they made it so long and how I can be one of those guys who can play for a long time as well."

Most mock drafts had Taylor going to 6 to the Falcons who ended up taking NFL Legacy player Jake Matthews.

  •  Aubrey Dawkins signed his LOI to Michigan today.

  • In a head scratching move, Jim Tressel has been named the next president of Youngstown State University.

Enjoy the draft tonight and this weekend.  I think Schofield will get drafted and hopefully someone is going to take a chance on Jeremy Gallon in the late rounds.

This was just another piece of Tressel's severance from falling on the sword for ohio.
