Michigan Thursday: Some Recruiting Notes

IMG's LB Jordan Anthony will make his final decision known at 7:00 PM tonight.   His top 6 are Michigan, Auburn, Clemson, Oklahoma, Maryland and Penn State.

Jordan is rated as a 4 star LB across the board, minus Rivals which recently bumped him up to a 5 star.   Rivals ranks him as the #1 Inside LB in the country and #26 player in the country.   That is some pretty high praise!

Jordan is 6'1 and 220 pounds and should compete for the two deep if he picks the Wolverines tonight.

Do you want to ask if the IMG Spring Break Trip was worth the costs for the Wolverines last Spring?   The answer would be Cesar Ruiz and Jordan Anthony.

Will Jordan be wearing Jordan's on the field next year?

  • There continues to be positive buzz on Najee Harris.  We could hear soon on his college choice or he could just enroll and show up at Michigan or Alabama.

  • TX OT Chuck Filiaga a very important recruit for the Wolverines has announced his top 3: Michigan, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.   I believe he is planning to announce at the Army All American game.

  • Congratulations to Taylor Lewan who made his first pro bowl.

I have heard a number of times about the number of bowl practices that are allowed.   I believe that information to be false.   The 20 hour rule for practices continue even preparing for a bowl game.  So Michigan could have 20 - 1 hour practices if they wanted to during the week.  Jimmy is calling bowl practice - Christmas Camp.   This is a great time for the young players to get plenty of reps, with the goal being the starting lineup in Dallas against Florida to open next season.
