Michigan Thursday: Quick Recruiting Blitz

With a big recruiting weekend on tap for the Wolverines.  Lets look at some recruiting news:

  • Columbus (Ohio) St. Francis DeSales 2018 OLB Brian Asamoah calls his visit to Ann Arbor  "phenomenal" last week.

  • Speaking of Ohio LB's:  Dallas Grant who visited A2 a couple of weeks ago was thought to be making another trip for the Spring Game this weekend.  He is now going to OSU and will also visit ND.  He is planning on making a decision in May and this is going to be a battle to the wire between Michigan, ND, and OSU.

  • Michigan is hosting a boat load (7) of 2019 guys today.   Pretty strange for a Thursday but I'm guessing Jimmy wanted to give each some special attention before Saturday.

  • The buzz continues to be UCLA for  NV QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson and his teammate TE Brevin Jordan.   Michigan has its work cut out for them this weekend.   With Jimmy being the QB whisper and using TE's more then any other major program, Michigan still has a punchers chance.  For example, the word on the street is that GA RB Christian Turner was a silent commit to ND before he visited Michigan last weekend.

  • Plan B or C at QB AZ QB Tyler Shough will take an un-official on May 13th.

  • In a non-recruiting note Big Al Borges has been hired as an analyst at Auburn.  He used to be the OC there.

Big Al seems to have that knack for getting hired.... despite not really having a resume loaded with success stories.....

Scott k... with some research, I uncovered that the people that actually hire him have substantial interest in local restaurants, and with "Big Al" around business would pick up incrementally.

Dallas Gant not Grant. He's going to OSU, but we should wait until he announces before purposely misspelling his name.

Other than the understandable typo, thank you very much for all the hard work and info I turn to daily on this blog.
