Wolverine Wednesday: New 2018 QB Offer and Some Practice Buzz

Michigan has been recruiting two QB in the next class.   The top prospect is Vegas QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson who will be in town for the Spring Game but many believe he is trending towards Jedd Fisch and UCLA.

The other guy is Florida QB Joe Milton who is also expected in town for the Spring game.   Joe is getting a ton of interest lately from Florida schools and could stay close to home.

That is only a few eggs in the basket.   So Michigan offered yesterday Chandler, Arizona QB Tyler Shough.   He grew up a Michigan fan and Jimmy called to offer him personally.  Tyler is 6'5 200 pounds and rated a 3 star Pro-Style QB from Rivals.

The guys over at Touch the Banner have some practice buzz to share, here are some of the highlights:

  • Wilton continues to be the clear #1 QB.  Brandon Peters is battling O'Korn for #2.
  • Kareem Walker has been getting some good buzz, Chris Evans is #1 with the rest of the guys fighting for carries.
  • Kekoa Crawford has impressed at WR
  • The offensive line continues to be a work in progress Bredeson, Cole, and Onwenu seem to be firm starters for sure.   Cole could be at center or left tackle.
  • DL looks like Gary and Winovich at DE, Mone at Nose, and Hurst at 3-tech.
  • Hill and Long are the starters at CB

-Michigan Basketball finished 17th in the Coaches poll

-OH LB Dallas Gant who just visited Ann Arbor, will make a decision on his birthday on May 16th.  He released his top 5 of Michigan, ND, OSU, Penn State, and MSU.  Dallas lives in Toledo, so he will come back to Ann Arbor for the Spring Game.
