Michigan Tuesday: The First Rebel Commits

As you saw all over the place, Shea Patterson made it official yesterday afternoon.    As soon as I leave to grab some lunch, he of course pulls the Twitter trigger on a commitment.    Can't wait to see who commits today when I grab some Jersey Mike's.

I know we have covered this up and down, so I will move on to other subjects, but it will be interesting to see how this all works out after the NCAA rules if they are immediately eligible.

Ruiz welcomes his former teammate:

  • Rumor mill is spinning that Van Jefferson transcripts are still being reviewed by Michigan Admissions and was at Louisville last night.

  • Rumor is also that JaRaymond Hall might be looking at Central Michigan and might have visited Mt. Pleasant this weekend.

  • Michael Barrett might make his commitment on Thursday, which is his birthday.  He is considering being an athlete at Michigan or an option QB at Georgia Tech.

  • Big Mo Hurst was named to the AP All American 1st Team.  Bush was named to the 3rd team.

  • Michigan will have Outback Bowl practices at Berkeley Prep. Home of top OT prospect 5-star Nicholas Petit-Frere.  Nick stop by school and pick-up your math folder during Michigan practices!  As long as he doesn't talk to anyone, its legal.

  • Michigan Basketball plays Texas tonight.

  • James Hudson is making strides on the offensive line:  "I think everybody that's redshirted has really been stepping up but the one that probably has been really stepping up is James Hudson," Kugler said. "Moving over from the d-line, he's been playing great lately. Really taking the offensive line role and it's really good to see him do that. He's definitely turning some heads so that's definitely one that stands out to me."
