Wolverine Wednesday: News and Notes

  • Former MSU football player Keith Mumphery is suing MSU because he was thrown out of his graduate classes and now isn't hirable by the NFL because he was excused of sexual misconduct.  He alleges the allegations were false and he was never charged.   Here is the USA Today article.


  • Michigan offered 2020 defensive tackle Westley Neal and the next day Florida State offered. 


  • Jeff Long, former Arkansas AD (he also worked at Michigan) is a candidate for the Kansas AD position.


  • In a captain obvious statement:  Michigan AD Warde Manuel said this:  "We need seven home games in every year," Manuel said. "I don't know the specifics of it standing here, but in one of those years we would have six."  (on why he cancelled the VA Tech home and home)


  • 2020 Oak Park 4-star OL Justin Rogers will visit next week so he can spend some time with Coach Warinner.


  • 2019 Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian four-star RB Zach Charbonnet is expected to take an official visit to Ann Arbor.
