University of Michigan President Mark Schlissel, during a Detroit Economic Club luncheon Wednesday in Detroit, was apparently asked about Harbaugh's status as head football coach. "I would confront the premise," Schlissel said. "He's not on the hot seat. He's under contract for four more years."
Second: We know he is a good coach and just hasn't figured out how to turn this battleship. He turned Stanford Football into a real program and took the 49'ers to the Super Bowl. I'm not comparing Coach K with Jimmy (the point is it takes time), but Coach K won about 50% of his games for 5 years at Army before getting the Duke job. It took him 3 years at Duke before becoming the best college basketball coach ever.Dabo has been the head coach at Clemson since 2008. He was on the hot seat every year. Now he has one of the top programs in the country.
Each situation is different and if anyone as earned some rope it's Jimmy. Has the results to date been disappointing? Yes, they have. Still it's not time to panic and I rather stay on this journey with Jimmy then start anew with someone else.
- My guess is they give Jon Runyan another shot on Saturday and if he continues to struggle, we will see another LT in there before the end of the game.

Harbaugh may not be on the hot seat right now, but he may be by the end of the season. If he goes 8-5 again with losses to MSU and OSU, I would have him on the hot seat. Trips to Europe to tiptoe through the tulips should be for conference champions, or at least division champs, not finishing in 4th place in the East.
I'll say it again. If Michigan hadn't whiffed on several 4 & 5 star OT's, we wouldn't be this entire conversation to the degree that we are. Last year would've been different and so on.
Man he's so arrogant I'm talking about Jim Harbaugh we have all these good offensive lineman from Michigan and they don't even come to Michigan they go somewhere else this is pathetic... Abu you said in another post we can get Lincoln Riley from Oklahoma, correct? You do know Oklahoma and Michigan academically is world apart. The grades you need to get into Michigan are not easy. Michigan is limited to which people come to Michigan based on that as well. JH in sure is hampered by that as well.

Yeah I understand we are of the best public university in the world but if you look at the recruiting for the past three years we have more ESPN 300 than Oklahoma... man we just have garbage coach who is very conservative who doesn't have no creative mind
Listen when we lost to Ohio State in overtime... what did Garbagebuh do last 6 minutes...conservative play calls.... when we lost to Iowa in Iowa when we had the ball last three four minutes to put the game away... conservative play calls.... when we lost to Michigan State on that muffed punt.... with like 2 minutes left to put the game away what did he do conservative play calls .... men he cost the team three games and these players don't deserve that or the fans
