Michigan Monday: OSU Grabs Transfers

OSU had a nice weekend in adding players to their top two programs.

-Seth Towns a 6'7 shooting guard from Harvard transferred to Ohio State.  Seth was the Ivy League 17-18 player of the year.  Seth grew up in Columbus and picked the Buckeyes over Duke.   Insert here academic jokes of going from Harvard to OSU.   How could Tommy Amaker let this happen?  I know the kid wanted to play at home but picking anyone over Duke must be difficult.

-Oklahoma RB Trey Sermon transferred to OSU. He had 385 yards last year, 4 TD's and 7.1 average per run.

If your wondering, OSU has the top 2021 class and is rumored to be leading for the top RB in the class TreVeyon Henderson.   Michigan right now has the 31st ranked class to 24/7.  The Virus shutdown is really hurting Michigan's ability to recruit on campus.

So nothing but good news right?

Well, with Henderson trending to OSU it is helping with Michigan's recruitment of instate 4 star RB Donovan Edwards.  OSU already has a commitment from 4 star RB Evan Pryor.   Hopefully, this trend is that Donovan feels A2 is the best place for him instead of OSU having too much elite talent.

There also continues to be concerns with the start of the college football season.   The issue I see it as prep time, will Spring Practice push into Fall Camp?   Can the players do spring practice in the summer and then fall camp as normal?  That seems to be the best case scenario at this point.   If that doesn't happen, I think the season will be adjusted.   The rumor is dropping the non-conference and just playing Big Ten games.

Stay safe!

Jimmy, gonna have to go ahead and pony up the cash and drop your academic standards to recruit the hood rats. Or, just let the cockeyes have them and continue to lose. Tough call.
