Michigan's incoming basketball class had 2 players in it. Guard George Washington III and center Papa Kante. Papa was an important recruit as Michigan's center Hunter Dickinson is in the portal and Juwan has had back-to-back disappointing seasons.
Rumors started earlier this year that Papa was going to have Michigan admission issues and wouldn't be enrolling. Those rumors became fact on Tuesday afternoon as Papa asked for his release from his commitment. We expect this was not a surprise to the Michigan coaches who were looking for another center in the portal anyways.
Michigan's Basketball roster continues to be in flux as does its potential success next season. Find some NIL money and keep Hunter at home.
- There is a summer basketball tournament called TBT. Where former pro's play for a $1M total purse on ESPN. Lately, teams from specific Universities get together and play. Michigan has never had a team until now. Look who is playing:

So Funchess can hoop? This is an interesting roster, lots of shooting, lots of point guards, Charles Matthews and Chaundee Brown makes me smile, Big Men Austin Davis and Jon Teskse are similar players. It could be a fun summer if they make a run.
