Wolverine Wednesday: 2 For Tuesday

When I was in college there was a local Subway shop that did a 2 for Tuesday promotion.  I think it was buy one get one free, but it could've been buy 1 get 1 for 50% off.   The memory is a bit hazy from too many meatball and cold cuts combo subs.

Michigan landed 2 recruits on Tuesday of its own yesterday.  First was a local kid from Howell whose dream was playing for the Maize and Blue, second was a CB the Michigan coaches pulled off Purdue's commit list.  Snake oil?

2025 Bobby Kanka is a 3-4 star recruit who grew up in Pinckney but plays for Howell.   He is the 3rd 2025 commit for Michigan but LB Mantrez Walker commitment seems "light" at best.  Bobby is 6'4 and 263 pounds right now and was considering Michigan and MSU.

Michigan second commit of the day comes in a much-needed position for the 2024 class in Indianapolis 3-star athlete Jo'Ziah Edmond.  In high school Edmond plays all over the field but at Michigan he will compete as a tall cornerback at 6'1 and 180 pounds.   His offer list is a unique one in Baylor, Iowa State, Purdue, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Wisconsin and a number of MAC schools.

Keep an eye out for Kentucky CB Jeremiah Lowe who could be the next CB commit for the Wolverines. 👀

  • I thought the buzz was quiet after the Nigel Glover visit this weekend, now I know why.  He committed to Ohio State last night.
  • Gatlin Bair now seems to be trending away from a Michigan commitment.   Again, none of this matters as Bair will go on a 2-year mission and can make a completely different decision when it's over.

God this is a tough time of the year. Tired about reading about football and ready to start watching it, but that thought is also bitter sweet as the start of football signals the near end of summer. Living in Michigan we live thru 8 1/2 months of the gray season for 3 1/2 shorts months of SUMMER. Soon after the start of the football seasons, the leaves begin to fall and then that dreaded white crap starts falling from the skies! Don't get me wrong, I love fall, its my favorite season, if I could live in a place where the climate was early to mid-fall all year long sign me up........lol

NCAA punishes Jimmy cuz their feel goods got hurt when he told them to F off. He gets a 4 game suspension. Does it hurt the team? When these guys are on the fence about which school to pick, yes it hurts the team. Trading 5 star recruits for 3 star recruits is not a championship strategy.

NO Commiefornia for me thank you. Taxes too damn high and they're getting to the point of telling you when you can take a dump. I was thinking of retiring to Tennessee!
