Michigan Thursday: Michigan Football Now Has a General Manager

BVM Sports

Michigan Football is big business and the veil of being a ameutur sport is over.  Big Time college football is Pro Ball.  The best hire for Sherrone this off season is clearly Sean Magee a former Michigan Associate AD and Director of Player of Personnel from 2017-22.  The last couple years,  Sean was in the Chicago Bears front office.

So what does a GM of Michigan Football do?  Per the release: As the Senior Associate Athletic Director and General Manager, Magee will oversee all aspects of the recruiting and player personnel departments as well as coordinate the program’s NIL initiatives. He will handle the identification, evaluation and recruitment of prospective student-athletes in conjunction with the head coach and staff and manage the roster of current student-athletes while identifying future needs for the program.

Prior to coming to Ann Arbor the first time, Sean spent 5 years with the Navy Midshipman as the Director of Player Personnel where he played and graduated from.

Welcome Back Sean, please keep the Michigan Football excellence in everything you do.
