Michigan Monday: It's a Holly Jolly July

Michigan landed another defensive lineman in edge rusher Julius Holly from outside Atlanta over the weekend.  Julius is 6'3 230 pounds and is a 4 star Edge to all the services minus 24/7.  His offer list was strong with the leaders being Georgia, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss.  "Captain" Lou Esposito is really putting in the work for the Wolverines and grabs another top rated guy for his defensive line.

Wink tells us to stay locked in, so hopefully the good news keeps rolling.

  • Blake Corum got engaged over the weekend.  Congrats!
  • Brady Hart was on the offensive MVP on Day 2 of the Under Armour camp.
  • RB Davison did go to Oregon.  I have to keep reminding myself they are in the Big 10 now.
  • Happy Bobby Bonilla Day
  • JB Bickerstaff sure has had a lot of jobs.  Why does these owners keep washing and repeating with the same head coaches?
  • Alex Orji on Coach Campbells offense: "It's gonna be tailor-made like a three-piece suit for whoever takes a snap. It's gonna be tight, it's gonna be perfect. ... We operate every play in the playbook to a pro level."

Alex Orgi proves he can tall "the talk", but now he has to prove himself by doing the walk. I hope he can .... but it's easier to talk than perform .... he should be tight lipped and save it for the field. I think that Michigan will have wobbly legs for a while after losing JJ and company.

Because there are only 5 or 6 destination organizations in the NBA. The Pistons are closer to the Flint Tropics than an NBA team. You saw that Borrego took his name out of the running for the Pistons HC job. Nobody wants it. You're coming here to collect a paycheck and lose. From what I've read, in print and between the lines, sounds like Langdon is going to do it the right way, but it's going to take a while. Since nobody wants the Pistons FA money, instead of overpaying for mid-level FAs, he's going to acquire other teams trash(dead bodies & bloated contracts) and draft capital. It's the OKC model. My only question is why pay Cade. Spin him into 2 or 3 1st round picks. Giving him a max deal to play along side some of the NBAs dregs makes no sense.

A fish rots from the head down. That's Tom Gores and the Pistons. Just like the Lions were clueless for 50 years until Shiela stepped in, the Pistons will flounder under poor ownership. Sad to see. Same with the Tigers and Wings, Cheap Chris the Parking Lot King cares more about money than winning.

At least Orji is saying all the right things. Hopefully he can be a good QB. On the other hand, when I hear Scott Harris of the Tigers talk, it makes me want to pull my hair out and jump in front of an oncoming bus.
