Wolverine Wednesday: Sparty Loses Another One

MSU lost the football game on Saturday night, one they had penciled in as a Win.  Then a fight breaks out at the end of the game and the MSU AD asks the Big Ten to investigate and suspended Michigan players involved.  The Big Ten did investigate and came back with no penalty as there was zero evidence that any Wolverine player stomped on a Spartan.   If your keeping score at home, that is 0-2 for MSU in 3 days.

I guess MSU Twitter has to focus on something else now.

The rumor mill is spinning that Michigan has a $5M offer out to local QB and #1 player in the nation Bryce Underwood.  Which would be on par with LSU.  It's also known that this is not a Dave Portnoy project and another faction is leading this effort.  Dave is willing to help but not leading the Underwood Flip project, On3 is reporting.

What is RR? Rich Rod??

My 2 cents on the Jamo news. As a sports fan and manager of employees, I don't not care what happens in one's personal life. Once you clock in, your ass is mine, and that's all I care about. Just do your job. If you think other NFL athletes don't have an array of personal problems outside the game, then you are nieve. I would prefer that someone has their life together, and I do worry about Jamo.

Good to see UM playing the NIL game. That shows a commitment to winning. Love how we are utilizing our boosters. (I still am not a fan of NIL tho)

It's a good thing if we are bidding on local talent for quarterback. If the rumor of 5 million is true, then Chowman will have to adjust his coined phrase "NFL Lite" to NFL division II (something a little heavier in connotation. I do not like all the money flying around, but it is a different world out there. Like when cars first came out > the drivers had to stop 1 mile away if they see a horse. Where are the horses now?

Here's my concern, if Michigan comes out the highest bidder, I hope this kid can play. Cause if he can't it might be the last time Michigan jumps into the NIL with such ferver. Fans need to bear in mind, even though the QB play has been ass, the OL and WR room needs to be upgraded as well! Does having a prized QB recruit help? Sure!

Dude, your job and the NFL are light years different. And tell me if one of your employees kept missing time for making bad life choices that you wouldn't care? NFL teams put personal conduct terms in every contract for a reason. It's not about any one thing that he's done. It's about a pattern. At the least: he just doesn't pay attention to details. At worst, he thinks he's above it all and can do as he pleases. Either way, he's not putting his teammates first!

If we're up to 5 million dollars at this stage of the nil can you imagine what the cash is going to be like in one or two years. Just curious if there are strings attached to this kind of money. Like if you injure yourself, or you're a bust, or you quit and hit the transfer portal, etc etc etc.

NIL has ruined College Football. Period

I'm gonna go ahead and disagree with you there Brady. Let's say said employee of yours clocks out at 5 and then goes out front and holds a sign up that says your product is garbage. You really only care what he/she does during duty hours now? I get your point but these hood rats agree to take millions$ cuz they know there's a catch to it, and that catch is your off-duty behavior matters. Don't get to take the kwan and not the catch that comes with it.

absolutely!

That's why Sabin quit. He knows head coaches now have to be GMs and agents to cater to these kids and their families. And he knew everyone could now do what they had been doing for years....also looking at you $uckeye U!
