If you're a Michigan Football player Summer/Fall camp starts today. Yes, you have been working out and probably doing player led practices all summer but today it becomes real. The first practice of the 2025 campaign. Here are the biggest questions going into camp:
- Will Michigan have a passing game on offense? The passing offense Michigan put on the field last season was embarrassing coming off a National Championship. They lacked a QB and WR's who could get open and make plays. Not to mention one of the best TE's in the country. Is Underwood ready to lead this team? Is Keene even healthy? Garcia I consider a "break glass" in case of emergency guy and I don't expect really anything from the injured Warren and struggling Davis. Regarding the WR's, IU transfer McCulley is clearly the #1, I expect Fred Moore to find his game and take a huge step forward this year, and hoping for a nice surprise from a redshirt or true freshman. I expect Morgan to make a couple sollid plays a game.
- Offense Line - this is a small question mark as I expect Michigan to fill the holes nicely after last year, but sometimes it takes a few weeks for them to gel. No time to wait with a trip to OK coming up in week 2. Keep an eye on true freshman Babalola and Haywood, they might be too good to keep off the field.
- Secondary? - Will Rod Moore be ready? Are the CB's ready to step up? Michigan lost Will Johnson mid season and he never returned, so there should be solid playing experience. Is Hill and Berry ready to be stars? Is the true freshman Earls ready for the bigtime? Is MSU transfer Mangham ready to play after a year of learning?
- Punting? - Just be functional! Average 40 yards and no line drives. Figuring out who are the punters on the roster is the first step!
Team Strengths!
- Defensive Line - This is an unbelievable group: Williams, Benny, Payne, Guy, and Moore.
- Running Backs - Haynes and Marshall is a wow factor. Don't forget FB Bredeson!
- LineBackers - Hausman, Rolder, and Barham time for them to take the next step and become stars. True Fresh NOB might be one of those "can't keep him off the field" guys.
- Tight Ends - Solid group - Klein, Hansen, Marshall. I have a feeling Prieskorn can be a star if he is healthy.
- Special Teams - Best kicker in the country! Zvada
Camp goals - Get better everyday and no injuries!!!
- Team had game night last night before camp opens this morning.
