BTN coming to a Cable provider near you?

  • Looks like Comcast and the BTN are very close in coming to agreement on a deal to provide the Big Ten Network to all Cable customers on the Comcast footprint. As most of you know, Comcast is the largest cable provider in the Big Ten area and the #1 cable company in Michigan. For us outside the Comcast area, there isn't any new news regarding Time Warner or Charter. With that said, a Comcast deal would go a long way for getting deals done with Time Warner and others. Both sides are in a agreement that a deal should be done before the Big Ten kicks off in late August/early September.
  • The Big House will expand their seating for disabled fans.
The agreement, a consent decree, was announced jointly on Monday by the university and the Michigan Paralyzed Veterans of America, a group that had sued the university in United States District Court.
This is great news, all Wolverines fans should have a spot at the Big House!

  • MSU gets another Michigan Jr. verbal commitment:
Caper, a 5-foot-11, 210-pounder with power and speed, rushed for more than 1,400 yards with 14 touchdowns last season. Though he's a junior, Caper had seven scholarship offers, including Michigan, Purdue, Iowa and Stanford. Caper is ranked as a top 60 national recruit by the three major recruiting services.
  • Is Michigan after a 6"8 Gonzaga Basketball verbal commit to play QB? The kid committed to Gonzaga as a Freshman. Nice. How about he dresses for Coach Rod but plays for Coach Beilein!
