As a proud former graduate of Ann Arbor's Pioneer High School (the first public high school in Michigan), I am happy to report that Nader Furrha, Pioneer's QB from this past fall has decided to turn down scholarship offers from Grand Valley State and Saginaw Valley to be a recruited walk on to the Michigan Football program. There were also some interest from MAC schools, but Nader couldn't turn down the chance to be a Wolverine.
"It was a tough decision, but I just felt comfortable with the coaches,'' Furrha said. "I think I can go in there, work hard and earn a spot. "The coaches told me I'd get the same shots as everyone else. I'll be treated the same as everyone else.''
