Breaking News: Mitch McGary Goes Blue!

Mitch is the #2 rated player in the nation for the 2012 class.   He is 6'10 250 pound power forward/center.  He is the highest rated player to commit to Michigan since 1999. 

This is a huge pick up for the Wolverines and a real feather in the cap for Coach Beilein.   Mitch will be able to firm up his verbal commitment next week on the 9th when the early signing period starts.  (Football please take note!)  During his ESPN interview he said he might wait to sign with his parents.  The Michigan coaches will do whatever they can to make sure he signs during the early period for sure. 

Mitch is good friends with Zack Novak and I bet Zack played a big role in his recruitment even though "Agent 0" will be out of  eligibility when Mitch hits A2.  

Things are starting to take a very positive turn for the Basketball Program with the new Crisler Arena, Player Development Center and a very strong 2012 recruiting class.

Is Michigan Basketball Back?  I would say, this a pretty good sign that it is.
