Wolverine Wednesday: Michigan BBall Warms Up With A Bang

Want to know fun facts from last nights exhibition game against Concordia?  Michigan 117, Concordia 44.  GR3 = 33 Points.   The starting 5 were: Albrecht, Stauskas, Robinson, Morgan, and Horford.  McGary is out with a back condition.   I really like having a good basketball program again.

  • 5 star guard Devin Booker will announce college decision on Thursday at 4:00.  Most expect it to be a UK and Michigan race with Missouri coming on strong.  5 star guard James Blackmon Jr. is also expected to announce his decision on Thursday on ESPU, he is also reportedly down to UK and Michigan.  The Wolverines would be doing great to land one of these guys.  It seems a little strange they are both announcing on the same day.   I'm guessing UK would take both guys, if they have room.

  • Zoltan Mesko was waved by the Steelers.  A punters life is hard.  He had a shank and bobble snap on Sunday.

  • Fitz gives MSU some bulletin board material "We labeled them as a little brother," Toussaint said. "And, you know, little brother always wants to prove themselves and try to beat up the big brother one day. "I think they really take offense to that." "After the game, they told us to get off the field," Toussaint said. "I don't know if it (was the players), all I remember was 'get off the field.' That was very disrespectful. "This is a business trip, but deep down, somewhere in my heart, it's personal. That's how I'm going to approach it.""It's going to be better in their house," Toussaint said. "Once we go over there and take care of business, it will (feel better than last season's win). Last year, at the Big House, we went out there and played ball and won. But we expect to win at the Big House, that's what we do.
"Over there, it's going to be a different ball game."

I don't find the stuff Fitz said above too disturbing but I'm sure it will make it to the MSU locker room.   I also hope Michigan finds a little extra motivation this weekend and plays hard on Saturday.   Michigan will probably need their best effort on offense this year to win.
