Michigan Thursday: Free Tom Brady

The world is full of "haters" just spend a little time on Twitter if you don't believe me.   Now the media and the NFL is focused on the "Golden Boy" Tom Brady, who has the perfect life.   What in the world could such a perfect individual have done wrong?
Sure he likes a little softer football when he throws.  Who doesn't?  You can gripe it better and your wide receivers can catch it better.   Why do you think we all love Nerf Footballs growing up?   We threw a soft football not a sphere shaped rock!  On a side note, how funny was it for that one kid that couldn't catch and left the game with Nerf eye!  :-)

Tom has said in the past, he likes the balls on the low legal range of inflation.   Is that a crime?   No!  Are we really saying that Tom stops by the ball boys meeting and says, "boys make sure all these balls are under deflated and make sure they are under the league minimum".   "If you do this for me, I will keep you boys in Under Amour and Ugg's!"   Come on man!  Tom is watching tape 24/7, he doesn't have time to meet with the ball boys.

This is just pure player hating on the Golden Boy.   The guy that............................
  • Wins multiple Super Bowls
  • Is a pitch man for high quality products
  • Is married to a super model who makes more money then him
  • Plays basketball with Michael Jordan in the Bahamas on vacation
  • Cliff dives on that same vacation
  • Plays golf in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am
  • Sold his LA mansion to Dr. Dre after he sold "Beats Headphones" to Apple
  • Last weekend alone, attends the Derby in KY and Mayweather fight in Vegas on the same day!
  • Most importantly, played for the greatest college football program in history!
I think it's clear that this is a clear misunderstanding and should go away with a check to the charity of his choice.   Free Tom Brady! He is no cheater, just the best damn QB the game has ever seen!

Wow!!! I understand supporting Blue (and from what I have read there is no evidence supporting the theory he was involved), but this goes way overboard to the point of being apologist. Makes me wonder what you would have written if he had been a Buckeye.

And just what does that list of things have to do with whether he was involved in deflategate?

What I found odd about this whole situation was, several people said spiking the ball will actually deflate it to some degree.
The team is given the bag of balls to 'condition' at some point between when they're inflated and they're taken to the field for the game.
So the ball boys took them and spiked the shit out of them, cuz that's how Brady likes them....
I don't know if that happened, I don't know if it didn't. The report said there were only a couple balls 'below' the appropriate psi, the majority were fine. If there was a plan in place to deflate game balls, why wouldn't they all be exactly the way Brady prefers to have them? Having them all at differing levels of inflation would seem like a disadvantage more than anything.
I think its a big deal about nothing.

GO BLUE.
