Michigan has a very unique schedule this year. Good thing they hired a coach from the west coast.
They of course kickoff the college football season on a Thursday night at Utah and then come home and play teams from Mountain or Pacific Time Zones.
The news of playing UNLV on BTN at Noon started to float around twitter last night and it got me thinking. Is there a strategy to playing these teams earlier rater then later? As we know, Michigan has not fared very well when traveling west for the Rose Bowl or other games. I also know that in the NFL, West Coast teams don't do well at 1:00 games on the East Coast.
When Michigan gets home from their Utah experience they play:
- Oregon State
- UNLV
- BYU
- The Michigan Coaches wrap up their tour today at the SMSB Camp. This is a good weekend for the Wolverines as a ton of talent comes in for the camp and will also visit Ann Arbor this weekend as well.
- Remember when I said, Jimmy is probably a robot because he never sleeps. I have changed my mind, he really is Stretch Armstrong the famous toy from 30 years ago. See below (HT to Mgoblog):

Like in baseball: "the sun was in his eyes". Perhaps the better approach would be to assume the games Michigan lost were to superior opponents.
I agree that Michigan has not fared very well when traveling west for the Rose Bowl or other games. gatwick meet & greet
