Michigan Friday: Wolverines Trying a New Helmet

If you have followed this blog for years, you know my concern with concussions in football.   Michigan will at least be trying out a new model of helmet from a football equipment company that is headquartered in Detroit.   The company is Xenith and this is what they say about their new helmet:

Xenith Shadow’s enhanced shock arrangement and materials are tuned specifically for the range of hits you experience on the field. Combined with an industry-first, novel polymer shell, this system absorbs energy and separates your head from the hit.

  • Michigan Basketball will take on Iowa tonight sometime between 9:30 and 10:00 in the Big Ten Tournament.  Charles Matthews is expected to play.

  • Michigan's Pro Day is happening this morning

  • Michigan's Spring Practice also starts on Sunday

  • Looks like Michigan has put Josh Gattis in charge of Oak Park's 5 Star OT Justin Rodgers.  Right now Michigan is trailing in his recruitment but does hold a home field advantage.

  • 2020 UT SDE Van Fillinger picked up a offer from Michigan, his dream school.  His name sounds like a movie with Ryan Reynolds.
