Last night the Florida Panthers who just won the Stanley Cup gave out their Championship rings to its players and staff. Since this is a newer franchise, they decided to give rings to each fan that has been a season ticket holder for all 30 years of this franchise's life.
Which got me thinking, shouldn't us diehard Michigan fans got National Championship Rings?
Since Michigan's Football program has been around 145 years, that is not a good barometer on being ring worthy. Here is the list of what I consider Michigan National Championship Ring Worthy:
- Spends 5-6 days a week writing or reading about Michigan Football 😀
- Was in the Big House to witness Rocket Ismael beat Michigan single handley
- Was in the Big House to witness the Colorado Hail Mary
- Been to any Michigan Bowl Game to watch the Wolverines lose
- Witnessed any live game coached by Rich Rod
- Any fan that had to witness an offense coached by Al Borges
- Any fan that had to witness a defense coached by Don Brown
- Any fan that had to live through OSU dominating Michigan for 10 years
- Any fan that knows the story of Michigan losing the #1 recruit in the nation due to a earthquake simulator
- Any fan that knows the story about Brady Hoke turning down Joey Bosa when he wanted to come to Michigan.
You qualify for a ring for any bullet above! I'm sure you have some better examples. Send us our rings!

- Nico will miss 4 games with his hamstring injury
- Pep is now on the NFL Commissioners list and can not play, practice, or attend games.
- The NCAA has killed the National Letter of Intent that recruits sign. There will be a new process in place soon.
- If Michigan continues to lose, I think they should announce to the NCAA they are self imposing a post season ban this season.

Bob good thought! Say we go 6-6 or 7-5, who cares about a BS bowl. Just take a ban and try to get the NCAA off our backs! There is a school of thought that the reason Michigan picked Sherrone Moore as the HC was no qualified coach wanted the job not knowing how hard the NCAA was going to come down on Michigan. Nobody wants to start their tenure under sanction. Warde and Michigan need to get this NCAA thing cleared up so we can start fresh, hopefully with a new coaching staff.
If you know who 'Sailor Bill' is, then you deserve a Michigan ring.
If you know how many honks of the George Patten scoring horn were for a TD and how many were for a field goal, then you deserve a Michigan ring.
And if you know how many yards Charles White was from the end zone when he fumbled and still credited for a TD, then you deserve a Michigan ring.
BTW: Statistically speaking, Wink Martindale's passing defense is worse than Don Brown's was in 2020! OUCH! Dr. Blitz > Mr. Blitz
It doesn't help any that the Michigan defense is on the field 80% of the game and is totally gassed. And the Michigan offense goes 3 and out all the time, giving oponnents the ball near mid field. Bad defense, yes, but their are underlying factors.
I have always wondered, the letter of intent is basically a contract no? In this NIL times, could a school not do something like, here is your scholarship and NIL funds, but in return you agree to be here for at least 2 years - if you leave before, you owe X back. Maybe that is too much pay for play? but idk the difference anymore.
I guess that would turn it into essentially pro contracts, but seems like we are already there.
Chowmein I could not read everything you wrote yesterday. It was like almost reading a book..... The season is pretty much over. I'm just waiting to see what happens at the end of the season. Is Moore coming back? Is wink coming back? I want to see what happens
I know how to fix things. Allow Michigan women fans to compete for quarterback ... that includes transgender (they probably have bigger stones than the quarterback trio we got now. Sherrone is a doppelganger of Hoke (the joke) In God we trust ... in Michigan we lose!

A contract? IMHO I think that's the future of NIL. It's be the final step towards completely turning college football into a NFL lite. That would protect the school and the player. I hate when these kids take the NIL, are at a school 1 yr and then bolt for a better deal or to a team they really wanted to go to ala Quin Ewers!
Scotty, I agree from the perspective that both were over their heads. Hoke was not suited to be a HC at a program like Michigan and either is Moore. Maybe someday, just not today!
What's their record come season's end? 7-5, 6-6? 5-7? Personally I only see 1 sure win: Northwestern and see 2 sure loses Oregon/OSU. The other 3 are dog fights. Before the season I thought MSU at home was a layup, now I'm not so sure. Hopefully Chiles turns the ball over 13 times
Brady: no it doesn't but the 3rd down D is horrendous. It's due to Wink doesn't disguise his blitzes very well nor does he have the personnel to execute what he's trying to do. Look Jyaire Hill and Zeke Berry have made some plays, but they either aren't good enough or have the experience to be left on an island with little or no safety help. That's what happens when you're bring 6 & 7 on the pass rush. It's exactly what got Wink sacked in NY and he and Daboll to a near fist fight.
Why should they be back? This season is a train wreck.
You hit the nail on the head the other day when you said it's only going to get worse. They can let everyone go from this staff and start over. Just a matter of time before we see the 'jump the shark' moment for Sherrone when we know it's the final straw

The wife and I were watching the Sparty punt block kick game. As soon as it was over we were planning on going out to get a steak dinner. After it was over we were both too sick to eat.
not sure which part was worse; watching the punt or watching that smug pric Dantonio and his hood rats celebrate on our field.
