Michigan Monday: Welcomes Yaxel The Axle

What should we call a big commt when Dusty goes into the portal and grabs a great player?

A Dust Up!
A Dust Storm!
1 Baller and a Cloud of Dust!

I'll work on it.  Dusty did it again and pulled Yaxel Lendeborg from UAB.  He is a 6'9 Center/Power Forward that really filled up a stat sheet for the NIT bound Blazers.  Yakel averaged 17.7 points, 11.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.7 steals per game.  Which made him the #1 player in the loaded transfer portal.

Michigan is not done recruiting him as he could head to the NBA Draft if he gets promised a guaranteed contract.  He is projected as a 2nd round pick, so there is plenty to momentum for him to end up on campus.   Since Ann Arbor is outside of the Motor City, I like the nickname Yaxel The Axle.  I'll work on it.  Yaxel Foley? ok, that is enough.

Welcome big man!

  • Here is a trivial question.  What was the last Big Ten Team to play a basketball game this post season?  A fair answer would've been MSU - which is wrong.  UCLA Women's team who made the Final 4 would also be a good guess, but also wrong.  Last night, Nebraska Basketball won the Fox/Vegas based Crown Basketball Tournament.
  • Mason Graham is expected to visit the Raiders and Browns only.

Problem is Lendeborg also put his name in the NBA draft from what I understand. He's seeking a guaranteed contract. Currently not projected as a 1st round pick, but its not unheard of for teams to guarantee a 2nd round pick's contract. Will it happened? Who knows about 1/3 of the NBA GMs are knuckleheads.
