The scoreboard might say something different but this was a loss for Michigan Football. This football team is not playing discipline football. No QB, terrible tackling on defense, poor play calling, lack of effort, bad penalties, injuries, etc.
I hate to be too negative and Michigan did run for over 300 yards but every area has issues and they are big issues.
The USC game could be a replay of the Texas visit.
Cheers:
- Mullins is RB 1 - Enough already
- Finally got Klein the football
- Defense played well in spurts
- Scored TD's instead of FG's
- 301 yards rushing
- Hall x2 played well running the ball and playing CB
- Hausmann played better and was the leading tackler
Jeers:
- Orji is not a QB, the deep ball was 50/50 on him and Moore not running
- 3 Picks by Davis is unacceptable
- Personal Foul penalties by Michigan's defense is unacceptable
- 1 sack? Really?
- Loveland's shoulder injury
- The OL is struggling both in the running game and pass pro
- Pollard CB coverage
- Big Loveland play called back for wrong alignment
- Michigan seems to run 5 plays on offense
- Michigan's offense was too predictable on 1st down
- What is going on with Michigan on 3rd down on defense?
- Can we punt the ball over 40 yards please?
- Terrible close by the 2nd and 3rd team defense
- Michigan's coaches looks like they don't have any answers to any of this.
I didn't see any new wrinkles or anything new. Michigan struggled to run the ball many times against one of the worst running defenses in the country. Most of the yards were on big runs where Edwards and Mullins broke tackles. Davis threw a few pretty balls but the picks were just awful and game killers.
I will reiterate a take from earlier in the week. Michigan not having a starting caliber QB is inexcusable. With what we knew in the off season, we expected this team to struggle on offense.
For this team not to be elite on the defensive side of the ball is criminal. I would fire Wink right now. You or I could do a better job then Wink has. There are 3 first round draft picks on defense and this squad plays very undisciplined.
You could tell on the broadcast, that Jake feels the way we do. I thought at one point he was going to yell, "What the Hell are we doing?".
Jake Tuttle save us! and at least we are not FSU. (neither makes me feel any better at what I just watched)

Painful game … just painful. I’d be happy with 8 wins. Maybe ecstatic actually. I have zero expectations at this point.
Real chance Mich loses to sparty and IL.
It is so bad for Michigan when these players do something small like running for 2-yard to get a first down they celebrate like they did something really wonderful things like that shows you where is this football team and how far behind they are from the rest of the pack...

Very undisciplined and non creative! 2nd team defense is horrendous. I think we may do good to win 6 games. Post game interview, Sherrone said Davis and Orji played good, 2nd team defense played good, and there were a lot of positives in this game....WHAT IS HE TALKING ABOUT???
So not sure I'm going to watch next week. I see no way we beat USC. Miller Moss will have a day as Wink's D isn't very good. Worse than that is the offense, particularly the QBs, WRs, and OL! It took my 6 games to give up on RichRod's 1st team, not sure I'm making it to 6!
8? what 8 teams they beating? Minesota and Washington? Ok that's 3, give me 5 more. Don't see this team beating MSU or Indiana. The D is predictable and the offense is offensive!

Bob you and I are sympatico on the Wink Martindale thing. I HATED the EFFING hire! If he had anything left in the tank he's still be in the NFL. The fact that 30 NFL teams past on him and didn't even consider him for an analyst role tells you he's done. He's too predictable. Lines up, shows blitz and then blitzes like he's lined up. Nothing disguised!

We stinketh badly .... Besides new players, the coaching staff would screw up a Chinese fire drill or even a wet dream. The next game attending fans should wear a maize and blue clothes pin on their noses
I expected the offense to struggle, losing 10 starters, but the D is inexplainable. the defensive 3rd down efficiency is ridiculous. But then again I can sit in my recliner and see where the blitzes are coming from
Wink is a big dink! Although his own is microscopic.
While wearing my rose color glasses, I've yet to hear "The Fat Lady Sing".
Blue I can respect that, but for me the bar was raised the past 3 years and for the team to fall off this quickly is unacceptable. Life's too short to spend time not doing something I enjoy and watching that game was anything but enjoyable!

Sherrone is an imposter/fraud. I see Harbaugh calling all/most offensive plays last year and Sherrone riding the coattails of success. With Harbaugh gone and most of last year's talent, Sherrone is exposed (like someone wearing their birthday suit in the most crowded shopping mall in the World).
Do not worry about Sherrone finding new employment. Sherrone would make a perfect Ronald Mcdonald. Oop's, forgot they no longer hire clown's at McDonalds ... my bad!
Maybe I am mistaken here but from the movie "full metal jacket", was private "snowball" played by Sherrone?
Would Sheridan be a better hire for head coach, could he fill in as quarterback sometimes?
The stench emanating from the big house is over-whelming. Land people living next to a landfill (you never get used to the vile smell).
Harbaugh loved Sherrone because Sherrone was a Jesus freak. In that case Sherrone should recruit Jesuse's son and let him be quarterback and smoke everybody else. Every pass would be a "hail Mary" and we would be champions for eternity.
The whole problem is Sherrone is not religious enough. For atonement, he should do the "rosary" thing not stop for next 48 hours. Especially while he is taking a crap. Since we play like crap, this rosary bead crap might turn things around. Also Sherrone needs to start eating boogers, drinking milk, and prsiaing Jesus every second of the "god damn day".
Wow Scotty you're wound up this morning. Maybe ease off on the coffee bro......lol There's going to be a lot of rival fans that are going to bring up the sign stealing stuff. I know that for a fact as my Sparty friends and family are giving it to me good. TBH, I got nothing to comeback with either. Mostly I just think the roster is thin and Sherrone did little to address that in the portal. Jimmy had no issue bringing guys from the portal even if it meant guys on the roster got pushed down the depth chart or out of the program.

Ha. Yeah… that was a bit much. Three games into a rebuild seems a bit much to judge a coaching staff. They have to right the Def, and with that we will see how good Wink is/isnt. We also can judge Sherrone on if the o-line can improve.
