So things have been pretty good for the teams around the State of Michigan this week:
- The Tigers after a terrible start just swept the Rangers.
- The Red Wings just won game 1 in round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
- The Pistons "woke up" and blew out Philly.
- Jake Long was the first Wolverine in over 40 years to go #1 in the NFL Draft.
- Michigan got a verbal commitment from a "Blue Chip" QB from Wash DC, Kevin Newsome.
- Chad Henne will be 2nd or 3rd QB taken on Saturday
- RR has received 3 verbal commitments from 3 top 50 players for the class of 2009
- Michigan hung 27 runs on State last weekend
- As many as 10 Wolverines could go in the draft this weekend.
- The Lions have their "super bowl" on Saturday, when all their hopes and dreams will ride on a WR they select in Round One.
Not bad for a state with the worst economy in the nation.
Side Note: The Pistons upset, the Boren Ultimatum, and the "luckeyes" getting more 4 and 5 star recruits this week was left out of the above post purely due to a lack of focus of said blogger. (and I didn't want to bring anyone down since Michigan does have the worst economy in the US - if you need more proof, look for all the empty seats at Red Wings Playoffs games)
