- DB and QB still have Michigan on their list of schools: Defensive back Mywan Jackson (6-0, 180) of Seffner, Fla., will visit North Carolina, Illinois and Michigan this month, and he might stop by USC. Jackson also has offers from Louisville, Rutgers, Auburn and West Virginia. Louisville has been recruiting him the hardest. Jackson plays quarterback but is being recruited for cornerback. Clemson and USC are among the 35 offers for quarterback Eugene Smith (6-4, 190) of Miramar, Fla. Some of the other offers are South Florida, Central Florida, Boston College, LSU, Michigan, Auburn, Louisville, Florida State and Florida.
- Zach Martin, Indiana's top recruit OL for the Class of 2009 is considering ND and Michigan very seriously. ND seemly took a lead this weekend when Zach was scheduled to take visits to South Bend and Ann Arbor. Zach did not make it to Ann Arbor this weekend after his trip to South Bend. Has be made a decision to commit to ND? We hope he keeps his options open and makes another visit to The Big House.
- Remember Christian Wilson? Well, he gets some love in this North Carolina preview:
Incoming freshman Christian Wilson could also contribute at tight end. As asophomore Wilson was featured on the ESPN reality show Bound for Glory featuring Dick Butkus. He initially committed to Michigan, but chose to sign with the Tar Heels after the coaching change in Ann Arbor.
- Is Ann Arbor Titletown? ESPN to tape it's SportsCenter series at the Diag today.
- Dude must have one flat butt! Jim Purol broke his own record by sitting in 39,250 seats at the Rose Bowl in a 48 hour period. Jim has many records including sitting in all 107,501 chairs at the University of Michigan's football stadium. (Jim my man, how hard was that? they are all bleachers, all you would have to do drag your ass around the stadium for a day) The Rose Bowl feat was harder because they are all real seats. What did Jim think of the Rose Bowl where all the hopes and dreams live for every Big Ten Team?
The feat has taken a toll on his body and his cleanliness, as soot on the seats rubbed off on his clothes. He says he loves the Rose Bowl but calls the place "filthy."
